If it teach someone something, effortlessly, I can, and I enjoy it.
As soon as it is expected or asked, I suck at it.
I tend to over explain things then, and use multiple analogies (unnecessarily so).
@rebbel -I know what you mean. Ive been asked to teach a few classes by people that apparently don’t know me well.XD
I enjoy teaching on a more one-on-one way.
Yes, and have been able to do so when asked.
I would enjoy teaching someone what I knew after they pay me $25,000 to take over the biz.
Yeah, I did. Someday I’ll go and teach when I’m old and retired.
I do. I have for over nineteen years.
@kritiper – In your line of work, are there “secrets” or techniques that one would have to take a fair amount of time to master ?
Yes. I do teach. It’s kind of the only thing I ever imagined myself doing, although I have had several unrelated jobs prior to this.
@Demosthenes – I have four teachers in my family. (2 English,1 History, 1 Music)
They’ve al told me at one time or another that teaching is always what they’ve wanted to do.
Teaching was not my first choice, but I’m very good at it.
Teaching is part of my job, but only a percentage of folks can grasp the concept.
@KNOWITALL The concept of teaching, in general, or the concept of your teaching?
I don’t think I could teach my personal style of teaching. It’s too innate. Too…free flowing and dependent on the moment and the particular student.
I’d like to teach the world to sing in perf…no, no I wouldn’t.
@ucme Wouldn’t or couldn’t?
I have a very short temper, so probably not.
@KNOWITALL What I teach is hard for some to grasp.
@lucillelucillelucille No, not really. Having the right tools is crucial, but having a list of ready customers is most important of all since that is the hardest thing to acquire.
Yes
But only to a select and motivated few
