Have you ever been told to "get a life"?
Did you take the demand to heart? Did you think the person telling you that had any ground to stand on?

Not that I can recall. I don’t run into many people that are that rude (brave?) in my real life. :)
@lucillelucillelucille Same. I’ve never heard it in real life, but I have heard it online, from people who, judging by their posts, didn’t seem to have much of a life themselves. So I couldn’t exactly take it seriously.
@Demosthenes – When should one take an opinion posted online by a complete stranger seriously?
I’ve had to tell that to myself before.
Once or twice. But the people who said it had no life. So I didn’t worry about it.
Yes, by @gailcalled multiple times. It was upsetting to me, and I found it very obnoxious, especially after I told her more than once to stop.
In real life I’ve had people tell me I have too much time on my hands when I was worrying too much. I think it’s similar to get a life. The people who said it really weren’t fully aware of everything I was going through at the time though. Two in particular told me to get a job, obviously this was when I wasn’t working. I eventually did get a job, and it certainly didn’t help relieve any stress. It’s not like what was causing me stress magically disappeared.
Yes, by my creator, who was played by Colin Clive in 1931. ;-o
I don’t think so. The only measure of success and happiness that matters to me is my own.
No, not that I recall, but its insignificant regardless. Keyboard warriors who resort to namecalling or demeaning language are the LAST people I’d pay any attention, too. Here or in RL.
Not one ounce of my self-esteem is affected by the opinion of randoms, I hope yours is not either.
