Why are the zucchini in my garden rotting?

Asked by occ (4179points) August 28th, 2008

my zucchini plant was thriving – there were lots of flowers and four small zucchini…but they all started rotting where the flower fell off. Am I supposed to remove the flower, or is there something else that I should be doing? (bonus question – do I add an “s” at the end to pluralize zucchini, or is the word zucchini already plural?)

They should be harvested when the flower is still intact. Can you save any?

Add the s. Zucchinis is the true plural form.

…or should I say are?
