Chugging clean water. As much as I want. Different combinations of meats and cheeses. Chocolate dipped doughnuts.

I’d say that I am a happy person.
It always helps to be mindful, even when doing things that I don’t necessarily love.
The experiences that I savour the most would be making art, sex, good music, the beauty in nature, good conversation, typing a bunch of words without a shitload of typos, watching a skilled craftsman, learning something interesting, seeing someone overcome an obstacle, being with loved ones and last but not least, having a good laugh.
There are so many more things

Just about every Christmas in my life
Coming home from being far away.
Realizing, as I have been coached in the last several years by my current GF, you don’t love people for things that change with age.

My brain is pretty good about savoring the little things. Like the soft clinking of ice cubes in my glass. Or how tall grass ripples with a breeze.

However, my brain is quite terrible at remembering stuff like doctors appointments or how long that Tupperware has been in the back of the fridge.

Without wishing to sound corny & cliché ridden, I savour life in itself. When I was a kid I recall vividly lying in bed one night & for whatever reason, thought about death & that it’s a one way ticket like…forever!!

It made me realise that life is bloody fantastic & i’d better make the most of it while I can.
I have & fully intend to continue that trend, savour the small things too, fresh air, a friendly smile or nod from a stranger, anything that keeps you grateful & happy to be you walking the earth.

Further to my answer above, I just got back from my run, chose a new route today, 12 & a half miles of rolling hills.

It’s a route, or part of it, i’ve driven many times but running it made me feel alive & invigorated.

Stunning views with very little distractions, oh &...it wasn’t raining!! :D
