How to make the perfect nachos?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24892points) October 27th, 2019

Tostita chips, diced tomatoes, olives, sour cream and guacamole, and lots of cheese. Maybe jalapeno peppers. What else can I add? Like ground beef and chicken slices? Also what is the perfect shredded cheese to add to nachos?

Like cheddar, mozzarella, or other? What is the perfect cheese for nachos?

Green onions. Bbq chicken nachos are fire, but yours sound good without meat, too. Just make sure to use a natural cheese, I use mild cheddar.

I’m thinking sliced or diced pepperoni sticks as well.

Stay away from the processed meat some of the time. We put on refried beans, then lots of cheese, cheddar and mozzarella or a Mexican mix, then jalapeno peppers. Can serve with sour cream.

I’m a simple man that eats simple nachos. I just do chips, cheddar, and sour cream. But I like to mix in some Tabasco in the sour cream for some tang. I also steal handfuls of Fire Sauce when I go to Taco Bell. Calling it fire is a lie. I think the Medium is spicier. The Fire just has a nice flavor and isn’t that spicy. You could use that if you don’t want to buy Tabasco.

This q, is like “how do you like your steak cooked?”

It’s probably different for each person.

There’s a BBQ joint, close to me, that makes pulled pork nachos. I love them. There’s probably not a “right” answer, to this q.

Put your favorite ingredients in them, and enjoy…

I just do chips and cheese. Good with guacamole.

There is no wrong way to nacho.

The most common way for me to make it is with refried beans, monterey jack/cheddar, salsa, and occasionally sour cream or guac.

Asadero cheese. A simple Taco or Mexican mix cheese at your grocery store will work if your budget is tight.

I find that the regular shredded cheese (as opposed to the finely shredded cheese) melts better for nachos, and just in general.
