Do you want to know what this lefty thinks about impeachment?
Nobody on the left actually thinks the brownshirts will actually impeach. Mitch McConnell is a thing.
But we want every single Republican on record voting to save the thing.
So we don’t think he will be removed due to impeachment. I want the election to take care of that.
But I want every member of the Senate to have to go on record. It will be delicious. The ads write them-self.

I want to know why this lefty is being an ass towards me thinking I’m some Trump supporter. How’s that for airing this shit in public like you told me to? I don’t take kindly men telling me what to do. How very Trumpesque of you.
Oh, I could give an f about more of this drama.
I wouldn’t be so sure. The fool is almost guaranteed to be impeached. It is his conviction and removal by the Senate which is in doubt. But I think Trump is one of those cases where a reckoning is inevitable for the Republican Party, and every day it is put off, the more costly it becomes. The Senate should take the lesson from the fool himself, who is at this very moment stripping his toxic name from the facades of his properties at a frantic pace. Association with the Trump brand now has the same whiff of status as child molestation. And this is particularly problematic since the bulk of his real estate is in blue places (just like the money).
Huh? @wiscoblond why do you think this is about you? Was the Q edited before I saw it?
I certainly hope Trump is not impeached, for all our sakes.
But the current debate on the Democratic side stems from his record on LGBTQ matters – the issue that nearly ended Pence’s political career when, as governor, he signed into law a “religious freedom” bill that critics said was a license to discriminate against gay people.
Cynthia Nixon, an actor and advocate for progressive issues, chastised Biden on Twitter for calling “America’s most anti-LGBT elected leader” decent.
She followed up with a scathing opinion piece in the Washington Post headlined “Mike Pence isn’t ‘decent.’ He’s insidious.”
“The fact that Pence does vile, hateful things while well-coiffed and calm doesn’t make him decent; it makes him insidious and dangerous,” she wrote. “Respecting each other’s rights and humanity is what makes us civilized – not keeping a civil tone while doing the opposite.”
Some publications noted that Pete Buttigieg, the openly gay mayor of South Bend, Indiana, who is exploring a 2020 presidential bid, has also called Pence nice.
“Pete Buttigieg called Mike Pence a ‘super-nice’ guy. Where’s the outrage?” asked the online news magazine LGBTQ Nation.
Buttigieg, who devotes a chapter to Pence in his recently released memoir “Shortest Way Home,” distinguishes between Pence’s persona and his policies.

Read the responses in this thread for more on the johnpowell/wiscoblond feud.
As for the question, I think impeachment is a dumb option for the dems. I think it will just increase support for the president and guarantee him an election win. But if they have to do it on principle, because it’s the “moral thing to do” and makes a statement that’s more important than the outcome of the election, then I guess this is the hill they’re going to die on. Of course, a part of me thinks Trump will win regardless, but it seem doubtless that an impeachment that fails to remove him from office (as it will) is just going to make it more likely that he does.
Ah, so she’s bringing it to another thread. Didn’t read that one before, no reason to do so now.
Pretty pessimistic for trump haters and way too optimistic for those betting on trump that the Orange blob has really any chance of winning re-election.
If some Americans can shock the rest of the country by voting for a piece of garbage like trump in office, don’t be surprised when Americans ( including trump voters before! ) dump the garbage in 2020 so fast it will make your heads spin. In ecstasy! Lol
The mere fact that trump being impeached by the House as almost inevitable at this point is already a great victory for American Democracy. Those founding fathers were geniuses, their experiment is working out.
Matter of fact, trump and his voters deserve thanks for forcing the rest of the country to learn that nothing should be taken for granted in America—-not the Constitution, not its traditions, ideals and principles. Nothing.
