Perhaps something from your youth or given to you from a relative who has since passed.

I still have a blue jean jacket from high school and a bomber jacket from college.
My Mom’s pajamas. I fancy I can still smell her on them. ;/
I have a black & turquoise silk dress that my dad bought my mother while in Japan.
This dress is beautiful and I imagine that my niece will end up with it,
@chyna Let me guess, they both still fit.
I have a remarkably ugly hawaiian shirt, with symbols of McDonalds food.
It’s nearly 50 years old.
I have a T-shirt with an image on it that I drew (we made them at school in 4th grade). I’m keeping that forever. I also have a shirt I got in high school with our school logo on it and class year and it’s signed in marking pen by a bunch of my classmates. That’s staying too. Otherwise the rest I’m not really attached to, though some I keep for many years whereas others I may give away after little more than a year.
@ucme -Perhaps I will do that with my irritating PB account. Perhaps not.
My old leather jacket from around age 17 I believe.
@KNOWITALL Now that must still fit like a glove, yes?
It probably is. It’s a bitch when something you bought brand new suddenly becomes “vintage”.
@lucillelucillelucille You’re not wrong, that is stunning, your dad had great taste & I bet your mum loved it.
Liking the dawg too, one of your drawings?
@ucme -Thanks, I like it for it’s modesty, yet it fits like a glove,if ya know what I mean and it’s probably around 69 years old.
My dad would often buy my mom clothes but that is one of the few I have.
As for the painting, yes,it’s ink wash and is of a dog I had.
I tried to line the head up with the dress but said f-it when it wasn’t aligned. XD
@chyna -Thanks! I miss that goofball. She was very driven.
@lucillelucillelucille I do know what you mean, I have some muscle fit shirts & they fit so well they hug you, I love that fit, can’t stand anything baggy.
I was going to say, if the dress was a little to the right it would have matched her head perfect :D
@ucme -I was thinking of you when I tried that.
I was also swearing at you when I had to drag it out of the back of the closet.
I swore again when I forgot that I had to download the photo with a weird cord that I couldn’t find right away.
Then I swore again when PB wanted me to not ad-block them.
I have been called easy going, believe it or not.XD
I inherited this jacket
I wear it in the fall
I will never throw it out.
I will pass it on.
@lucillelucillelucille Well all that trouble was worth it, appreciate your effort even though you cursed my existence :D
@josie That’s too cool for school big fella, respect.
@ucme – I didn’t mean it :D
I need to answer my own question…
I have a ton of football (soccer) shirts, a couple go as far back as the late seventies.
These shirts are worn still & I will guard them with my life.
I have a Little Orphan Orange shirt that I got when I was little by mailing in box tops from Otter Pops and paying for shipping and handling.
@raum -That is the saddest otter ever,
I love them. They should never be sad.
@raum Otters are my favourite animal, they’re adorable but I can’t get the pic you linked & it’s driving me nuts :D
@ucme – I saw it :)
Otters are one of my favorites too.
@lucillelucillelucille Yeah they’re so bloody handsome, would probably take a finger off given the chance though, i’d forgive them lol
@ucme I was at the zoo & my husband bought me a stuffed otter toy.
We went into the otter house and I got the attention of an otter by holding the toy against the glass.
I must have ran back & forth with this little guy swimming after me.I could make him surface & dive with this toy!
When I turned around , a bunch of people were standing there! It was my most memorable time at the zoo ever.
Another time, I was at a different zoo that had otters. I was standing against the glass when the skirt I was wearing caught his eye (colorful & blowing in the fan) and I had a close up look and their cuteness.
I have a bathrobe that I bought about 45 years ago. It is frayed around the edges and I don’t wear it anymore. It has designs copied from Egyptian Pyramid walls. I have it hanging on my wall.
The black tie I only wear at funerals.
@lucillelucillelucille Yeah they’re so much more awesome in the flesh & when they swim…whoosh, like torpedoes.
@ucme- They are beyond cute to me.They do seem a bit bitey though.
@lucillelucillelucille Agreed, i’d love to own a pair but they look as if training would be practically impossible & I don’t have any chainmail gloves.
@ucme – Those Amazonian otters could probably chew though them.
My puffy shirt and Musketeer’s fencing costume.
Sorry to distress with my link. Do some links only work domestically? At any rate, if you google “Otter Pops”, you’ll see all of the characters they had for their different flavors. :)
