Do you ever take a warm bath, because you feel cold?
I do, and it’s getting cold out here in WA state now. But to actually wash and get clean I would do a shower.
I have to wonder if others do the same, solely just to relax because it’s cold for them, especially at night, with the season now.

Hello PNW friend. I’m in Oregon and my electric bill is amazing from my two hour bubblebath marathons. I took one last night after raking leaves at 9pm. It was freezing.
Every five minutes I drain a few inches and then refill with the hottest water my hot water heater will give me. I just like to soak and listen to some Barry Manilow.
Not joking about the Barry Manilow. Got into him a few months ago after watching some Family Guy reruns where he serenades Quagmire. What started as a joke turned into me really liking the music. And I mostly listen to punk-rock and 2Pac.
[this imagery is life-changing]
Can @chyna or @lucillelucillelucille catch the next flight to Oregon and draw or paint JP languishing in his bathtub? Actually, maybe we need to enlist a cinematographer jelly to capture the Barry Manilow.
I’m a hot shower-taker, not one for the bath tub.
I like @johnpowell,’sidea though, continual reheating.
@raum :: A few years ago I rented a apartment a few blocks away from the University of Oregon. A two bedroom place that was 600 a month. A steal.. I rented it without seeing any pictures of it. I didn’t care since it was two bedrooms and the location was unbeatable. I nearly fainted when I first walked into it and saw that it had a bathtub. That was enough for me to ignore the black mold. I hadn’t lived in a place with a bathtub for years. I just wanted a long soak.
Joke was on me. The place only had a 20 gallon hot water heater. Since I am tiny the water was cold before it covered my fragile, naked body resting on cold porcelain.
So what I would do is fill the tub up and let it sit all day to bring it up to room temp. Then went I wanted a hot bath I would fill it with hot water. It would average out to a warm bath that covered my delicious body.
No way, getting wet in the cold months ends up making me more cold. I’d rather crawl under blankets.
I take a hot bath almost every night in the cold months before going to bed. It both relaxes and warms me up,
I take hot bubble baths when I’m cold, too.
It relaxes me and I play my playlist while laying in the tub.
I’d be willing to fly out to Oregon, but only to share some Taco Bell food with @johnpowell.
Nah hot shower is my thing. I’m too impatient to languish in a tub. Seems like a waste of water, too.
I love a long,hot bubble bath.
@johnpowell That’s a pretty clever solution to a crappy situation.
Oh…and to answer the question. I run really warm water over my hands and feet to warm up when I’m cold.
When it’s cold, I’ll take a quick hot shower to warm up. 3 to 5 minutes and I’m warm. Baths are more of a time commitment.
Hey Nightwolf! My Mom’s side of the family hails from the Pacific Northwest. Millions of us are up there.
Yes, I sometimes take a bath when I get cold.
