Are you someone's reason to smile or someone's reason to drink?
I’ve been both.
On a separate note, this is my first question! Someone pass me the bubbly.

If I’m their reason to drink, I remove myself from the situation
I’ll go with smile. If they drink, they smile even more, sometimes even sing
I’ll say smile. I’m not close enough to anyone to force them in to drinking.
Well, both, I would imagine.
I don’t hang around the ones for whom I am a reason 5o drink, and I spend time with the ones for whom I am a reason to smile.
Easy peasy.
I see a lot of smiles, that is my mission in life…save for my cousin Jack Daniels, he can piss off!
Smile. I would be highly offended if someone said I was their reason to drink.
Both, but with the drinking, I’m more the excuse. Of course, without me there will ALWAYS be another excuse.
Your first question!
I’ll drink to that!
As for the question, both. I don’t always get to see my old drinking buddies as much as I’d like. But I always remind them to drink an extra one for me. :P
Ahhh, I remember my first question with fondness.
Think it was…“What the actual fuck am I doing here?”
Replies ranged from…“Me too”...“How rude” & “Piss off then”
Such a warm welcome, never looked back since.
@ucme I’ve not seen any rudeness, at least not yet. Would someone please be rude to me? I’m feeling left out!
You are not cool @coolhandluke.
@chyna I once was. I think. Probably not.
@ucme I’ll let you know after Thanksgiving. I usually sneak and eat about fifty eleventy deviled eggs.
I gave a mate a lift to the pub today, I drove him to drink I guess.
Raum, my undead wife? lol
Wow! I cannot believe that slipped past me. Clever.
I’ve often had people tell me that I make them smile. I try to help out and be kind to others as I can. :)

I don’t think I’m anyone’s reason to drink. My husband doesn’t drink at all, and most everyone else around me is German. They don’t need a reason!
I do make people smile sometimes, or even laugh. Mostly through goofiness, sometimes through a dry sense of humour.
