I will not say my nickname in public.
Nope, mine was “damnittohell”. According to my mom, I was a hand full
Mine was Willy & that took courage to admit!
@SEKA -Mine was just shortened to Dammit but I also responded to a well-known religious figure’s moniker. lol
No, but pretty close. My nickname was “mad” or “mad girl”
@lucillelucillelucille Yep.
And some others, with my family name incorporated in them.
Amongst others, Brambo…
Apparently @Seka and I had the same parents.
@lucillelucillelucille why do you like it?
To put in context, that was the nickname my bullies gave me to make fun of my weirdness daydreaming habit. But I’d love to hear another interpretation.
@ucme I’ve heard that’s what she said
Mine was pretty long “Fortheloveofgod”
@Mimishu1995 -Forget the bullies, that nickname gives you a little fire!
@chyna I knew I had a long lost sister – welcome home!
@Brambo- :D
@Vignette -Monogrammed towels would cost you a fortune!
@chyna -That’s just funny!
My family wouldn’t even think about cussing a kid.
They usually called me Apple Jack (my favorite cereal.)
@Vignette – Did they ever put a vowel between the F&T?
In middle school I got a nickname from friends that I never liked: “smallfry”, because I was a very tiny kid.
I developed rather rapidly between the 6th and 7th grade. My preacher’s son gave me the nic of “Bubbles”. I found it very embarrassing at the time
@Demosthenes -Those are the same people who make the mistake of underestimating others.
Myself and a childhood friend were called “the dynamic duo” because of how uncontrollable we were.
I often thought my nickname might have been, “Go play in the freeway.”
Fortunately, that sentence was always said with a lilt and a smile, never in true anger.
My folks didn’t cuss around us kids.
@Dutchess Were they in KS, too?
What? Where else would they be? They took us kids with them every time they moved.
@Dutchess I figured, sounds like Midwest family. :) I appreciate it more the older Iget, truly.
Well. Mom was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Dad was born and raised in Texas. I find people who cuss around their kids disgusting. Don’t get me started on parents who cuss AT their children.
My ex was born and raised in Minnesota and we didn’t cuss in front of the kids.
I think it’s a class thing more than a geographic thing.

I often hear “Dammit Janet!” It’s the only word that rhymes with my name.
I always thought Damn It Janet was referring to the Frizzer thread….
Can you believe I’ve never seen Rocky Horror?!
@Vignette (throws popcorn)
@Dutchess Lol, its an annual event here.
@KNOWITALL (Flings toast in your general direction)
@Vignette I want to hand you wine, pull up a chair and talk about our favorite parts. You get bonus new friend points if you know all the songs, too. Triple for dances. :D
@KNOWITALL My jaw would hurt from laughing as we all mouth our appropriate parts…Janet!.. Dr.Scott!.. Janet!.. Brad!.. ROCKY!
For me, it was: “Goddammit Get Your Ass Down here.“I once considered climbing out the very small window and running. But I had no place to run to, so I went down and faced the music.
