When eating out in a restaurant. Do you prefer sitting at a table or a booth?

Asked by nightwolf5 (2958points) November 9th, 2019

If they have both as a choice, which do you prefer? Or does it even matter much to you. I much prefer a booth, because they seem to give more privacy while visiting and eating.

Thoughts?

A booth, with my back to a wall.

Booth. It’s warmer. Cozier. More private.

Booth, as above.

A table is okay, too. Sometimes, a booth is harder to get out of depending on the number of people and who they want the most contact with. Three people at a booth makes it difficult for at least one. But by myself or with one other person, a booth is preferable.

Booths are great for privacy and conversation. I like tables when there are 4 or more people as tables are easier for the wait staff to serve and manage without disturbing you to reach to pass plates around.

Booth. And preferably by a window.

Any power seat will do.

Booth.
My wife is deaf, and her hearing aides work better when noise direction isn’t surrounding her.

It doesn’t matter to me. I would prefer sitting near the outside of the room and not in the middle of the room. If it’s a table I would prefer facing the middle of the room and not facing the wall.

Booth. Especially if it in the corner of the restaurant. I don’t like people behind me, and prefer to see the room.

When asked where I want to eat,
I’ve been known to reply “booth”.

If it’s just us, a booth. If more than just the two of us I prefer a table.
