Why was my Near Death Experience (NDE) the best sleep that I ever had?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24886points) November 11th, 2019

I was electrocuted playing around with the light socket , when I was 16, connecting the circuit with a metal key outside, and then turning on the power. I woke up 30 minutes later. Best sleep ever. Why? Can it safely be repeated? It was a very bright blue light like a Star Trek TNG warp flash. It was an outdoor porch light and lit up the neighborhood at 2 pm.

Dude
Glad you survived
Other than that, it’s a little weird
Oh well

Well, try it again and see what happens.

@anniereborn No. That would violate my lease, and get me evicted. I would just wonder who else has done it before me, and survived. To save the trouble. I looked online and the experience of playing with electricity is different. Sparks instead of the blue light that I saw. The blue light might be unique to me, trying to protect me from death. A guardian angel or magic. Not the first time seeing blue light in a (NDE).

You were 16 and putting metal shit into electric outlets? Seriously?

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@Darth_Algar Yes. Nit wits have been doing stuff like me on YouTube for years. I just didn’t have a video camera. Edited

Can I ask what possessed you to do this?

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

@Darth_Algar Curiosity. There was a broken porch light and was an opportunity. No parents. I had an extra key, and I wondered what if. Edited

@Darth_Algar I had also read a childrens book on Benjamin Franklin, discovering electricity. With a kite and a key during a storm.

@Darth_Algar Between books and Total cereal commercials I am lucky to be alive. The blue light keeps protecting me. I wonder. Edited

Yes, however Franklin’s experiment was done as a part of his efforts to develop a device (the grounding rod) that would keep structures safe from lightning strikes. And he had at least attempted to insulate himself from the electricity.

@Darth_Algar Ok. Back on the original post. Why did I have an awesome sleep afterwards? I might ask another question about the blue light after my 12 hours is up.

I would suggest that you DON’T tempt fate!!! At some point you will fail to be protected by the blue light & actually see and/or feel the sparks.
