Can I do a pocket behind sliding glass door on a brick house?

I guess it’s brick over stick.
Pocket is a bit of a misnomer. It’s not pocketing inside the wall.
In Florida we have sliding glass doors that are triples or quadruples and the doors slide behind the wall so the entire opening can be open. It’s not the expensive folding doors or pocket inside the wall doors. This is the inexpensive way for the same effect.
Can it be done up north on a brick house?
