Social Question

Why does he give attention now that I’m taken?

Asked by Jerryjones804 (7points) November 21st, 2019 from iPhone

Long story short, asked a guy out. Had a great couple of dates. Thought he wasn’t interested because he was always slow to respond. Ghosted him. No contact for 3 years.

Now I’m in a relationship. Guy wishes me happy birthday, donated 100 to my Facebook birthday fund?? Views all of my social media stories. And then likes a photo of me and my bf.

Obviously you can’t read his mind but any theories out there?

He wants what he can’t have? He likes a challenge? He’s in a dry spell, remembers that you were interested in him back in 1865 and thinks he has a chance? Lol
You could ask him why he is doing that but then you will be talking to him when you might not want to.

1) he is sorry he ghosted you

2) he is a wimp who doesn’t have the guts to say something directly

3) his is working up to being a stalker and is going to do something to break you and BF up

4) he is mortally ill and is trying to enjoy his last few weeks on the planet by thinking back to his last love – you

It could be any (or all) of these.

Interesting. We had someon hear asking if it was rude to send birthday wishes to someone he dated long ago. Most people said he was being creepy.

He is a creep. Don’t respond or thank him.

Sorry, I don’t know him. People who do might have a clue.

To me, his “liking” your photo was a wave hello. “Hello, I’m here, and I’m so cool with you having a new bf, but just wanted to let you know I’m not mad and so keep me in mind if you ever break up with bf.”
