What are some 'small joys' you particularly appreciate?

These days…
The smell of leaves burning.

The sound of the train chugging by at the end of my street.

A day when I can squeeze in a nap.

Ticking down the days until the end of the semester. I taught NINE classes this semester. Forking bananas.

Having a good sneeze. Having a glass of cool water.

The potato I was just fishing out of the pot didn’t fall back into the scalding hot water like those other two fuckers did.

A day I can sleep in with no obligations.

Waking up with no symptom after getting my Shingles vaccine.

Hot baths

Reading in front of my gas fire in cold weather

Having a good shit. You know the ones. Those that shoot out and plop into the water like a torpedo, and leave almost no residue.

I have many small joys as I see it in most things & so what if that makes me Mary Poppins lol
One that immediately comes to mind though is the look & smell of my dog Buddy’s coat immediately after his bath when he’s shook himself senseless lol.
He’s a short haired border collie & the contrast of the black & white really pops & shines.

@ucme Beef strips or even lean burger, onions, garlic, etc..with a cream of mushroom or beef. Add peas or any veggies. Potatoes on top, tots, or hash brown, or mashed. As many layers as you wish. Top with cheese. Bake. Winter heavy casserole. One spoon and you’re full. Lol
