Do you think the Ford Mustang station wagon will sell well?
Apparently, they made some in Italy way back when.
Now they are going to produce a new one.
What do you think of this car?

I like the original Mustang, but the sw doesn’t really do it for me
No I don’t think they will.
It’s like turning Wonder Woman into a housewife!
@ucme That idea might sell
@lucillelucillelucille I think so!
Incidentally, what’s a stay at home mum called over there?
We have housewife, you have…
@ucme Stay at home, usually.
@lucillelucillelucille Oh, that complicated huh? lol
I had in my head it was home something…this hasn’t gone well at all :D
I don’t know didn’t Dodge put out a station wagon a while back and it went over ok I think,the car will appeal to some people maybe enough to produce a few years of them.
@SQUEEKY2 – Our neighbor has that Dodge station wagon. He loves it, his wife hates it.
I don’t see many on the road.
I see quite a few up here, not loads by any means but enough to notice.^
I can’t see myself in any thing other than a 4X4 pick up,that is all I have ever owned
@SQUEEKY2 -I wonder who they appeal to? People that want to speed home from the market?
I saw a truck the other day that I have not seen in awhile & I cannot remember the name or make.They didn’t make very many & it’s not an old classic. I have only seen it in red or yellow and it is kind of like a hot rod (for lack of a better description)
Do you know what it is?
I do, it’s made by GM, and for the life of me I can’t remember what GM called it.
From all I can find that your pic in the link is a photoshop rendering of a Mustang Wagon and any other images are of concept versions of a Mustang Wagon. Ford though is promoting a release of an Electric Mustang in late 2020 that should shake up the E market pretty good especially with a touted 0–60 in the 3’s That will be a rocket sled for sure. This is a Link
@Vignette -My brother works for Ford. That will give me something to scold him about on Thanksgiving. XD
@SQUEEKY2 -You’re welcome.
My BIL has two old trucks.One is like sitting on a couch the other has those low profile tires and it bugs the hell out of me.
Most vehicles look too heavy for those tires, IMO.
Maybe I just need to see a vehicle that they look proportionate on.
@ucme They used to call them homemakers, but that term seems to have fallen by the wayside as more & more women started working outside the home as well.
@LadyMarissa That’s it!!
Cheers for putting me out of my misery, was beginning to bug me…a lot :-)
I don’t like it, but somebody out there does.
It looks like a deformed Audi estate.
Who is this aimed at?
The whole point of cars like mustangs is to be a dick replacement for middle aged men in a midlife crisis.
Right. A Mustang for old men who used to be bikers but now have a passel of grandkids to haul around.
It is like a Ferrari branded wheel chair.
@ragingloli Something to look forward to, a wheelchair that does 0–60 in 3 sec.
It would sell as well as the Cadillac S/W, and there was only one of those made.
@lucillelucillelucille Those may have been custom made limos for that customer, like ambulances or hearses. This one I saw (in 1973 or 74, in Las Vegas) looked just like a standard Chevy, but had Cadillac markings, grill, tail lights, etc. The owner told me it was one of a kind, a prototype. I have not seen one since.
@kritiper -Could be.
I have seen different versions of what appear to be Caddy station wagons of different years, though. I don’t think loads were coming off the assembly lines.
I was at a car show and got to sit in a 1970-something Cadillac that had the upholstery done in ostrich. It was the most comfortable seat ever.
The year before that, we rented a 2017 Suburban to take on a road trip. The seats were like cement. Go figure.
