I think a company is better than an institute because you get exposure to live problems. But choose wisely, there are a lot of phonies out there who just take work from you and don’t give you what they earlier promised.
As for the things that characterize a good industrial training, you should look for answers to the following questions:
What will be the size of a single batch?
Are they providing adequate resources?
Assessment of your training needs?
Does the company have experienced engineers who will train you?
Will your progress be assessed regularly?
Batch size should not exceed 10.
One Computer for one trainee.
Initial assessment must be there to judge where you stand.
The company should arrange experienced engineers to train you.
