In 40 years what do you think you’ll be most nostalgic about?

There is so much I wax nostalgic for from my childhood. Time is one of them I had so much of way back when things were really simple compared to now. I really doubt I will be around 40 years from now but I can imagine things like a cell phone will go the way of a pager, TV’s will be extinct, perhaps clean water, fresh air and open spaces may be in short supply. Politics certainly will never be the same after this presidency. I believe I would be telling stories of contact professional sports and all the broken bones and concussions of today’s sports. I would tell stories of all the barbaric medical procedures, actual movie theaters or live theater performances for that matter.
So what do you imagine you will be longing for 40 years from now back in the good ol days?

Not feeling any pain on a daily basis. That seems to be the regret of most older people I know.
I will reminisce about the days when I could chew Cap’n Crunch.
@lucillelucillelucille Just suck on them! They last longer than the Everlasting Gob Stoppers. When you are really old they can dip a damp wash cloth in Cap’n Crunch dust for you to gum on.
I am with @KNOWITALL
Wanted to write something similar when I read the question earlier.
In a way I already now (sometimes) have this.
The days I took for granted that the body was without pain and discomfort.
I’m doing (and letting) many things to stay as healthy and pain-free as possible, but I am sure there’ll be at least one day that I will look back in forty years, and feel nostalgic.
@Vignette -Ca’p’n Crunch dust?? Now that sounds magical!
@lucillelucillelucille Read A Fish out of Water and you will have a pretty good idea what would happen if you put more than a pinch of Cap’n Crunch dust in your mouth.
Me in the bath 40yrs from now…
“I used to have a penis, I’m sure of it”
@lucillelucillelucille I can read it out loud to you in my best Ethyl Merman voice….
“This little fish”
I said to Mr. Carp.
“I want him
I like him
And he likes me.
I will call him Otto”

Life, if I have retained consciousness after death.
Life. I’ll be dead by then.
When I was young and vibrant on fluther.
Might wanna make it ten or twenty years. A lot of us will be dead in forty.
In 40 years I’ll be dead. Not much nostalgia.
I’ll be well over 100 in 40 years. IF I even know who I am, I doubt that I’ll be retaining very many memories!!! Even worse, I’ll be out of money so very hungry. It’s hard to think when the tummy is growling!!!
