Well, if you lose your erection you can’t have sex, so why would you want to leave it on?

@Dutchess_III It comes and goes. Last time I tried was 21 years ago and my frequently lost
my erection. It might be my meds or that I was underweight.

An elastic band, around the (condommed) base.

@Dutchess_III Some men can get a flaccid penis, during love making.
Doesn’t have to mean it’s the end of that play; they like/want to get hard again and continue after a while/some playing/when they get plenty aroused again.

@rebbel Thanks that explains it. Are their any condoms that have an elastic band included?

I don’t know that, @RedDeerGuy1.
It was said in gest, but not completely.
I think one could try that (it might even give a longer lasting erection (it, technically, being a sort of cock ring)).

^^^ I gest as much.

If you get soft during sex and you are wearing a condom, you best pull out and take that dang thing off. Unless you want to become a Daddy. Then when you get hard again, put on another one.

Public health/reproductive health expert and sexual health instructor here…

First, man on top position is better for men who lose erections. Second, man on top is safer with a softer penis so that no fluids will spill out of the condom into the partner. Third, hold the base of the condom with your fingers. Any condom that stays on a flaccid penis would be too tight on an erect penis. In the last 21 years, there has been an explosion of condom types… so try different brands and materials.

You can look into “safer” sexual positions for erection loss that might make your erections last longer.

Potentially, a better solution would be to understand why you frequently lost erections. Do you have any idea if this is still the case? Medications can definitely interfere; I have never heard of being underweight associated with erection loss (although overweight can definitely interfere). In addition, poor diet can impact erections.

@Cupcake How does “man on top” prevent fluids from spilling out ?

With the covered penis facing down, semen will pool into the condom reservoir instead of drip out and potentially on to a partner.

Just secure the condom on with some Gorilla Tape. I would not trust just any old duct tape.

You take it off before it falls off, tie a knot in it and put it in your pocket.

Losing a hard on while sheathed in a rubber baby sock & humping is like having cold hands while wearing oven gloves in a sauna.
