Why was Jeremiah a bullfrog? And why was he such a good friend?

Can you think of any song titles or verses that make you wonder what the song writer was thinking when they wrote the song?

According to Wiki(Three_Dog_Night_song)
The song was written by Hoyt Axton. Some of the words are nonsensical. Axton wanted to persuade his record producers to record a new melody he had written and the producers asked him to sing any words to the tune. A member of Three Dog Night said that the original lyrics to the song were “Jeremiah was a prophet” but no one liked it

Damn, it just won’t take you to the right link. If you want to see what I quoted from Wiki, do a search for “Joy to the World (Three Dog Night song)”

He always had some mighty fine wine, which makes him a good friend to have and it will cause one to write goofy lyrics.
My mom used to play that song on the piano. The lyrics are forever in mah head

There was a boy
Who liked to wiggle his tooth loose so he could show it
And then we’d watch
While he would tie it to a doorknob, wind up, and then slam it
And that was how he liked to have his teeth pulled out
He told us how he liked to feel it when it came out

But he grew tired
Of using doorknobs and so he thought up a brand-new trick
He said he’d tie
His tooth to his dog’s tail, find a stick, wind up, and then throw it
And that was how he liked to have his teeth pulled out
He told us how he liked to feel it when it came out

He called his dog
But just as he was set to go, his dad arrived there
He yelled at him
Then got some pliers, held him, wound up, and yanked it out right there
That wasn’t how he liked to have his teeth pulled out
He wouldn’t tell us how it felt when it came out

My first attempt at silkscreening was a picture of a rabbit and the lyrics:

You ain’t never caught a rabbit.
And you ain’t no friend of mine.
