Should Peloton have featured an athletic guy in their (controversial) ad?

Peloton is being criticized for this ad. Some people don’t like the the fact that a man gives his attractive wife an expensive exercise bike to use in their fancy house.
As if he wants to pressure her into staying in shape to satisfy some unreasonable expectation that He demands, in spite of her secret desire to be a pig.
Forget that she might enjoy being in shape as a matter of personal pride.
Would anybody have said anything if the rich wife had given the equipment to her young jock husband so he continues to look good in a tux?
