We usually get Chinese take out.

@filmfann I just called the Chinese restaurant and they are closed on Christmas. I might check Skip the Dishes on Dec 25 for what is still open. KFC is open on Dec 24th.

I have no idea what we’re going to do for Christmas.

Fluther, probably.

Waffle House for lunch, probably. Or maybe pick up Chinese.

Then over to the kids….

I’ll check in with the “family” here, but by Christmas day most of the visions of yummy food have been more than sated. The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is traditionally defined as the season for spoiling all our friends without access to their families, particularly the idealists who have failed miserably to grub the money required to indulge any tribute to hedonism. These weeks see more traffic through here than a crack house.

I’m working on Christmas (most of the Jewish doctors volunteer for Christmas), so I’ll probably have cafeteria food. They usually put out something good.

Over to my sister’s on Christmas for a marathon family dinner. I have never ordered out on Christmas. I may be on Fluther after I get home if I am not passed out. (from exhaustion, not booze)

I’ll be at my sister-in-law’s, with all the mental torture that entails.

My dad and I have yes. Hard to fine a place that’s actually open for Christmas day. The Chinese Buffet is though. Only place I really know of. And the only reason we have, is my mom is longer here to cook the good Christmas meals.

I’m having several widowed ladies over to share food & family over Christmas. I’m doing the cooking, so won’t be ordering out. At least, I hope I don’t screw it up so bad that I need to order out. Where I live, the only place open on Christmas Day is Waffle House and you can’t stir them with a stick on holidays. Will probably be too busy to be fluthering, but I never say never so you might catch me jumping on to say hey

If we end up alone on Christmas I can see us heading to Wichita to Golden Corral.

I will be alone on Christmas. I will visit fluther if I have online access.
I bought a two pound ham portion for dinner that day. To go with it a can of cranberry sauce (most of it will hit a zip bag for future consumption), mashed potatoes, homemade noodles if I have good function, green beans, Dutch apple pie for dessert. My beverage will likely be hot tea.

Ordering out would not leave me much for options.

We are going to have boneless ribeyes and vegetable kabobs. Order placed at butcher shop. We’ll decide what else Wednesday. I’m thinking a rice thing. I ordered a Kentucky Bourbon Cake from the bakery.
