Have you ever been a victim of porch pirates? (NSFW)

I haven’t, and I once opened a package on the bottom, removed the contents, replaced them with garbage, and taped it back up. I left it out for a couple of days, hoping it would be a deterrent. Nobody took it, do I figured our neighborhood was in okay shape.

No. They do not leave packets outside here.
They are either handed off to a neighbour, or dropped off at the nearest packet station (which is usually a side gig grocery stores and the like) for pick-up.

This happened to me in the early 90s. They took some computer equipment.
