It’s just one simple pil, that guarantees six to eight weeks winter sleep.
Would you, and if so, what date would you swallow it?
I would (take two consecutively).
Starting 1st of November.

After my birthday so mid-January through mid-March. Although so far this winter, I’m enjoying sitting by my gas fire and reading so much the cold isn’t bothering me as much as usual.
Absolutely! But first, some questions…
Will my bills continue to be paid (like a paid sabbatical)?
Can I do a Summer Hibernation? I like Winter, but Summer is the worst.
If yes to both, then June 1st to August 9th please. Every year. Forever.
Right now, I’d take a handful of those pills.
I concur with @cookieman
I LOVE Winter and would gladly Estivate instead of Hibernate.
And would chose those dates as well (June 1 through Aug 9)—that would still leave a bit of Summer, called Serotinal (between Summer and Fall)
@cookieman Bills: yes.
Summer hibernation: move to Australia or New Zealand.
No, one could miss an event of importance.
No
I’d miss all the positive, upbeat people on Fluther
I would never wake up again.
Negative. I must be alert, of every changing condition. And therefore be prepared.
I sometimes hibernate now. No drugs required.
I rebelled against sleep in my youth the way anorexics rebbell against food and weight gain. I simply could not stand the thought of missing stuff.
I live with pain, torture, and weakness every day all day. My condition would excuse me for staying in bed most days.
I can’t. I go through a lot just to get my body moved from bed each day. I do because I just can’t miss days. Weird Al’s song I’ll Be Mellow When I’m Dead is my anthem.
Hibernation would be a great way to lose weight. No more going to the gym to endure self torture. Just sleep for a few months.
No,I like winter to much to sleep through it.
I’d rather do this during the hottest time of year.
