Did you ever have this dream, where you dreamt you were hours late for school, so decided to turn back time, and as soon as you do, you wake up right before the alarm goes off?
I had this dream so often, that I almost believed that I actually had that power.

Not exactly, but I have some sort of internal clock mechanism that wakes me up before the alarm.
Say I have to wake up at 4:00 am to make it to the airport for a 6:30am flight. I set the alarm for 4:am, but somehow my body clock keeps time and I tend to wake up a few minutes earlier. I don’t know how it works, but this is a skill I have had for probably 25 years.
I used to skip high school classes. It didn’t happen overnight.
I just left the building, whenever I chose to…

I just preferred not to get into fights, in the locker rooms, after lunch. I had lunch period scheduled, during my gym classes. The doors by the male locker rooms were unlocked, because of fire codes . So. We had 20-something year olds, who would enter the gym, at anytime they wanted. Mostly hardened drug dealers. At 14, I saw kids getting beat up, or worse, around lunch time. I had my run ins, with these men, and barely escaped from being beaten by much older/harder men.
I was in good shape, and knew how to handle myself. But, I was no match for 10 drug dealers, who were in their 20’s. So. I would often walk out, around lunch time.
Looking back at the the situation, there should have been some type of security at those doors. Other students, simply got beat down. Our physical education teacher, just let it happen. He was eventually convicted of child molestation. He was focused on molestation of the girls there. He was focused on molesting the girl’s, while ignoring the problems in the male section of the gym.
So. He molested, the girls, and ignored the problems with the male students…..
It would be the primary reason, that I studied hand to hand combat, rather than whatever the school was trying to teach me.
Who cares about algebra, when you have to survive 5th period?
When you’re 15, and have to survive attacks, from 25 year old drug dealers, it changes things.
