My inquiring mind wants to know, how the hell do you make a call from an i pad?
My granddaughter (not quite 11) called me at work wanting to know if she could order some Warrior Kitty (?) stuff on my credit card. I no sooner said yes get Nanna to help than she was about to hang up. I asked how she called when my ph. Is with me and her grand moms ph. is charging? She said she used her I pad she got on Christmas. WTF? Either I’m Old School or kids these days are techno wizards. But then I had to get the 5 year old to show me how to close out an ap last week….

I guess it’s an I Pad. A small Amazon gizmo like a tablet. Evidently she can text her school friends on it too. Go figure.
Use an app like Hangouts which lets the iPad originate calls. If the kid has a Google account they can do that.
My grandkids call me all the time from their ipads.
The iPad has a phone app installed. Some have their own phone number and are cellular equipped. Others use an iPhone they are paired with to access the cell network.
I can make and receive calls with my Apple Watch. I don’t even have the watch with cellular. It just routes it through my iPhone. My phone can be in the basement and I can be 30 meters away in the workshop and it will just use wifi to talk between the watch and the iPhone.
The iPad can do the same. Or they could just be using Facetime (audio) or one of the many other options.
Google Voice lets you make calls from most devices with a microphone, speaker, and internet connection.
I’ve used it for many years as my phone number. I regularly call and text from two different phones, a laptop, and a desktop PC. Everybody thinks I’m using my cell phone.
Skype is another option.
No one really knows.
The people you see in public are faking and on a quest to prove their importance to those who don’t care. All true :)
I’ve never owned an iPad so I’ve got no clue. You might want to read this to see if it makes any sense to you
