Anybody else here a swinger?

I’m more sway than swing.

I remember the last time I swung on swings. I was 17. I rolled back so my hair would just brush along the ground like it used to do as a kid….damn near broke my neck.
Childhood is over man.

I’m 51. The last time I was on swings was a few years ago and I loved it.

When I was a kid, my parents installed a swing in the basement of our house. Screwed two hooks into the ceiling for swing ropes. Was wonderful!

Swinging is fun at any age.

The only times I go to the playground, are when I want to beat the ever-loving shit out of some little kids.

I’m 48 and was just on swings this past summer. We’ll walk our dogs down to the playground sometimes and both me and them (they and I ?) will swing for a while.

@Sargent They have indoor swings you mount to you ceiling but the purpose is a bit more than just swinging. (Wink)

I love swinging, but my booty has grown larger than the swing seat. I took that to mean that it’s time to stop

I live in an older southern home that has the required front porch swing. When I first moved in, I spent a lot of time sitting in that swing swaying back & forth. NO, it wasn’t as exciting as a swing set, but it was plenty of excitement for an old lady. I turned on some good old Blues & would swing until almost bedtime.

I’ve got new neighbors now, so I don’t swing as much as I used to!!!

The last time was on a swing was a few years ago. I felt barfy so i had to stop. XD

The house I grew up was built on a lot that was split level. There was an upper level and a lower level Going on back there is a creek where we spent a lot of hours trying to kill ourselves in the 60s and 70s.
Anyway, Dad tied a rope swing on a branch of one of the trees on the upper level, and it swung out over the hill going down to the lower level. This meant at the apex of our swing we were VERY high in the air. Were we scared? We were not..
Mom was a different story. That swing just terrified my mom. She made Dad take it down. But it’s OK. We neighborhood kids found an even better, and higher rope swing down the creek a ways. We jumped off a high cliff to start the swing. If you got stuck you were stuck over the creek and you had to drop off into the creek.
