How would you go about it and if not why not? Thanks.

No. I generally dislike people.
Join a volunteer group in your city or town that shares your interests. Then you meet new people
No.
For reasons that’d make I could be friends with @chyna.
I don’t personally believe in ‘making’ friends.
I’ve tried that and it turned out artificial.
I’ve bumped into people that ‘turned out to be’ friends (from both sides).
It’s chemistry, or resonance, or something.
Not really. If it happens organically, great, if not that’s fine.
I just don’t feel the need. I’m not lonely, I see the people I want to see when I want to see them, I have no real desire to pursue more relationships.
I make new friends everywhere I go. I don’t plan it. The secret is getting out of the house and then being friendly.
That’s not part of the plan but if I wanted to do that, I’d involve myself in activities with like minded people.
Absolutely. Part of my plan for the year is finding new groups/ organizations to volunteer for, meeting new people is a benefit of that.
No. I do plan to make more enemies, though.
@ragingloli I don’t have to try for that…naturally occurring. :)
I think I will find new friends in the line to vote.
In March I will see if the recreational therapist can help me.
Nope. That would require free time which is at a premium.
Sounds nice, in theory.
But peopling is tiring.
My natural social cadence is erratic. Lends itself more to online interactions than real life where socializing is something you need to sustain and maintain in socially acceptable patterns and stretches.
I’m not looking for friends.
I’ve made some from joining groups but they’re not close friends, and that’s ok.
I really like my free time and I value being alone a lot.
I’m not anti-social. I have friends and I see them when it’s a good time for us all.
I’m doing it now. I moved to a city from a very rural area and I’m working outside of the home for the first time in years. Life has never been more exciting for me. I dislike most people but living in a city allows you to ignore the people you don’t like and keep the ones you do like. You can’t hide in a rural community.
