Is Green / sustainable living blogging niche profitable with respect to advertisement and affiliates in general, and India in particular?

I was reading about blogging in green/sustainable living and green energy niche. Though I have read a few articles, but as I have no blogging experience I am still not sure whether to start a blog in this niche. Can you tell me if this niche is profitable considering both advertisement and affiliate income? What could be other similar niches?
