What is the best tool to index and search lots of data from external drives?

I cannot use all my drives simultaneously. I need a program to create an index and search contents offline…

I use a great tool for online indexing and searching – Agent Ransack – but it doesn’t do offline output. Only online.

Hang on, I just checked. You can either export (to CSV or other), or print the results. So I guess it would qualify.
