Has anyone tried Google's Lively? Is it fun?

The Sims bored me, but I thought it might be worth giving Lively a try. I’m not a huge chatter, but I do it sometimes. Also, I know that the basic Lively is free; are there costs for any other elements of it?

I tried it. It needs a lot of improvement, the interface (controls) stink. There is a fee for extra ‘items’ to add to your ‘room’, but I wouldn’t bother.
