Any recommendations on repairing a music box?

I have recently purchased an antique jewelry box that is also a music box but it seem the music box was wound to tight and so the music doesn't work. You can spin it backwards and it makes noise, or the song backward. I live in Dallas but can't seem a place where they repair them. Any suggestions?
