Yeah, I’m glad they’re staying. If I had property or a business down there, I’d want them to help prevent the heartless looting that went on after Katrina. God protect ‘em all!
Of course they are not immune. Still, even in an evacuation, there has to be someone to maintain civil order. They have the choice of very safest places to bunker during the actual storm. They are then available in the dangerous aftermath (Did you know many deaths occur after the storm itself is gone?).
Why are you opposed to them staying?
I’m not in any way opposed its’ just the media that makes me question the mortality of one and and immortality of others the way they potray the whole event.
Living in Lafayette, Louisiana and being a firefighter/EMT I must say we are not immune. It is our job to put our lives on the line for the benefit of our community. I will be out there in a few hours fighting fires and rescuing those who did not leave. Wish us luck we will need it.
good luck gooch. be safe!
Yeah, gooch, hang in there. I’m glad you’re on the job!
Gooch, I’ll do MORE than just wish you luck.
I’ll pray that Gawd rides with you on all of your calls.

thank you for you service gooch. Godspeed.
GOD bless those who choose to stay and protect others. My prayer are with you and your families
End result of my day for my truck was 4 died 13 saved. All 4 lost in one call. Tree fell in on a house starting a fire. We tried to cut into through the fire but we could not do it in time. On one call we got trapped but cut our way out and had a save.
Stay safe in these dangerous days of aftermath.
gooch, I also pray for your wife, who must worry herself to death until you get back home!
Gooch, you get home safely, or I’ll come down there and kick your butt.
(Said in friendship.)
