What is your most impressive feat of strength?
I used a very heavy coffee mug this morning.
Impressive, but the day is still young…
What about you?

I kicked down a reinforced steel door once.
It was an emergency, I swear.
Golly, I always think I should be awarded a giant, flashy belt buckle when I heft a bag of dog food from my car into the house. (Up three steps!!!)
@zenvelo -That’s awesome! Did you make good time?
5 AM start time? woo
How did you not spill your coffee? :)
@lucillelucillelucille It took me just under 13 hours, I averaged 11 mph, including rest stops and a long lunch break.
@zenvelo -Have you ever done triathlons?
@lucillelucillelucille Nope. I did enter the lottery to get a spot in the NY Marathon later this year. I will find out in a few weeks.
I’m incredibly fit & my stamina, drive & determination powers me to great physical achievements, but I’m not strong.
Seriously, Barbie could beat me in an arm wrestle without breaking sweat!
@ucme – Ken you work on technique?
@ucme -Then you’ll have to psyche them out!
@ucme Never accept de feet! Especially those that want to kick your arse
@lucillelucillelucille Oh I think It’s a strength to know ones limits & besides, my daughter has won enough money off me!
@ucme -You lost a bet? How unfortunate! :D
Keg stand on a moving boat. :D
Since I became disabled my body has told me that there are some things I just can’t do anymore. The most weight I attempt to pick up is a 50 lb bag of dog food. Sometimes that’s a stretch. My daughter fell and was in enough pain she was crying from the pain. I got to her and grabbed the office chair that was on top of her, threw it across the room with one hand. I knelt down and had her put her arms around my neck. Under heavy protest from her, I picked her up like she were a baby and carried her to the sofa. All 120 lbs of her. I had told my PA about that, and she said it was pure adrenaline, that I was scared for her being seriously hurt. I had checked my daughters back to make certain nothing was out of whack. She did go to the doctor when the pain hadn’t left her a few days later.
@RabidWolf -Yep! that’s what it is and that is impressive :)
I’ve heard stories all my life about extraordinary things done by people. For instance, a man was working under his car and his son was with him. The jack slipped and the man was trapped. His son lifted the car off his father. His son was only 10 years old. Another time a mother and her two children were at the pool of a motel. Her daughter slipped and fell in the deep end. She was in panic mode, her son dove in and swam to his sister and got her to safety. Her son had never been taught how to swim. They had been playing in the shallow end and were on their way back to their room. I heard these stories on: Paul Harvey. THE REST OF THE STORY.
@RabidWolf -That same thing happened to my husband and his dad. Hub was able to get under the car and lift with his legs enough for his dad to get out. He was around 7–8 years old.
Adrenaline is an amazing thing.
I haven’t listened to Paul Harvey for a long time.
My dad and I use to love listening to him.
