Did someone say your alarm sound determines if you will be sharp or groggy all day?

Asked by flo (13313points) February 5th, 2020

That is, whether you wake up with a noisy sound or calm music determines if you will function well enough during the day.
Added: This OP of mine didn’t have enough detail.

Yeah, lots of people say that. Some people suggest having a loud, annoying alarm, some people suggest having a quieter alarm to wake you up. I’ve heard both. I don’t know which one you should do. My alarm is Bach Cello Suite. I wake up fine.

My alarm sound determines whether or not it gets assaulted.

@SergeantQueen Re. ’‘Some people suggest having a loud, annoying alarm, some people suggest having a quieter alarm to wake you up’’ Yes but that is not the OP is asking. I added to the detail.

…The title too asks about groggy all day or sharp all day.

How didn’t answer your question.?You asked if people have said that your alarm sound can determine how your day goes. I said yes people have said that and then I elaborated.

My alarm is the opening to Tom Sawyer. It wakes me the hell up and throws me out of bed! I don’t it affects my mood.

@SergeantQueen I believed that you were referring to how easily you get out of bed and be wide awake, not about being groggy or sharp (function well or not function well all day). That is, you were referring to some people say one kind helps them and some others say the other kind helps them.

Not me. I didn’t say that. It seems ridiculous however.

“Moonlight Sonata.” That’s my alarm clock signal…

Calming, but it wakes me.

I’m a very light sleeper.

I used to have, annoying alarms.

That would just wake me up, pissed off…

I like to awake, to a gentile sound…

I often listen to classical music, on the way to work. It helps me bring myself down a notch…

“Feeling groggy or sharp all day” is not at all dependent on the sound of the alarm.

It has to do with how much sleep one got.

The only thing it detetmines for me is the severity of the resulting heart attack.

@elbanditoroso and @zenvelo of course. It must be flat earthers who entertain that kind of notion.
