What life saving (or close enough) uses are there for pencil erasers?

The ones here seem to be about much less important than life saving, or similar.

Erasing the DNR in your Living Will.

I know a guy, on YouTube, a woodworker (amongst other things) that uses the eraser of a pencil to hold fast the small pieces he cuts on his cross cut sled (on the table saw); eliminating the risk of getting his fingers in the blade.

If you have a large puncture wound that is bleeding, one can stick the eraser in the hole to stanch the bleeding.

When removed from the pencils, they can plug noses and ears.

I have seen kids push a pin through from one side to the other, used as a weapon.

I suppose if that pin were dipped in ink and flicked fast enough, it could maybe do a home tattoo.

@zenvelo took my best answer.

^^yes I was going to say blow dart weight…
Use it as:
Buffer for mechanical devices (seal from sound, air and water etc)
Use on places where friction is required strategically.
Use to clean many things that are difficult to clean.
Depending on softness can be used in certain pressured parts of foot under makeshift footwear
Can, in some situation, be used as insulators from heat or electricity.
Send some sort of floating measage (on water of course) or seal a bottle (if you can fashion some sort of “Cork” stop)

In some situations a rubber layer can save certain things again certain elements (some erasers stop windows/mirrors from fogging)
