What is your favorite Max Von Sydow movie role and film?

I remember him in a James Bond movie and I know he was in The Exorcist.
Flash Gordon was memorable for Brian Blessed though. :)
I enjoyed The Tudors but don’t remember him in that series.

Toss up for me between the 7th Seal and 3 Days of the Condor.

The 7th Seal.

Like his role in The Exorcist the best. Followed closely by The Magician. He was good as an assassin in Three Days of the Condor.

Love that film & he oozes menace.

Although it was a fucking terrible movie, he was great in Flash Gordon.
Was a lot like having Michael Jordan at his peak play in the minor junior leagues.

@lucillelucillelucille I know, he climbed Everest a few years ago which is admirable for his age but I’m surprised his bellowing celebration didn’t cause an avalanche.

@ucme-I’m surprised by that as he does not look to be in the best shape.
He does have a certain intensity.
