What kind of club or group would you be interested in starting?

Honestly, none.

In my younger years, I was a member of several clubs, civic boards, that type of thing. It really doesn’t matter what the purpose of the group is – there are always one or two people who (a) are in it for power and self-aggrandizement, or (b) are so lazy and unhelpful that the group works around that person.

I have no patience for peoples’ ego games any more.

I’m in two very lovely and very different book groups. I’ve also been in a singles’ walking group. I would be interested in starting a group that saw movies together and then discussed them.

Minus the issues that @elbanditoroso is absolutely correct about mentioning (been there done that), I’d love a dog walking/sitting group in my local community.
Like a few people that could cover people’s animals if they had to work late or had an emergency (car wreck, family member at hospital, etc…) and couldn’t make it home. Security is the only issue, as we’d have to know and trust each other, as well as making sure the animals were secure and comfortable with the ‘helper’.
