I had tintypes of family members that had no label.I also have a boatload of all types of photos on my computers that only have the date.
At least they have that, right?

I recently found a group of desk calendars from the 80s. They were almost like finding diaries, I was incredibly busy and social and logged everything. For most of one year I was doing a bunch of things with one couple, dinners out, games nights, concerts, parties, stuff like that, and I cannot for the life of me call them to mind now. Everybody else from those calendars I can remember.
Bizarre and a little disturbing…

A friend has hardbound day planners going back decades. He let me read one and there were notations about every single day of his life!
I have a huuuuge family on my mother’s side. I can’t even remember all the names of my first cousins, even though I spent whole months there as a child.
I was shown pics of the family as well as ancestors. The names were under the pics. One pic I didn’t need to see the name. I knew the face. I was stunned, and I questioned it. “This is bullshit, right? You wanted to see if I’d believe this.” I was told that it was not bullshit, that the pic, as well as the name, was really in our history. An actual president of the US. His blood is inside me.
