Would a reusable anti-virus facial mask which covers the nose and mouth and has a changeable filter slot be eventually made for sale?

Asked by mazingerz88 (29220points) March 11th, 2020 from iPhone

For thousands of commuters who use public transportation like trains and buses everyday, shouldn’t a medical device manufacturer come up with a reusable mask that can be sanitized after each use and has a slot where wearers could load replacement filters as needed? Filters that are effective against airborne virus.

This should eliminate demand for disposable masks doesn’t it?

I was listening to Mark Levin’s show and it was mentioned about transmission through one’s eyes…

Those already exist, many of the “N-95” masks have replaceable filters.
They’re hard to get today but a couple of weeks ago they were readily available.
