Fed, state and local governments are taking rational but extreme measures to keep the virus rate of infection under control.
Will Spring Break ruin that effort?

No. Get all of those partying people on the beaches and then isolate them. The party will go on, most likely. Just keep the beer flowing!
What a great idea
Isolate them on the beach-
They’re happy, medical treatment delivery institutions are happy.
Win win
Yes it will, to a degree.
I mean, Easter is a time for resurrection so here’s hoping huh!
Our governor just cancelled all the schools in the state for the rest of this school year.
I think the teachers are gearing up to put lessons on line. I can dig it!
Hoboken NJ just banned gatherings of over 5 people. If more than 5 people congregate, the police will break them up and if the people don’t comply, they will be issued a ticket. I wonder if Florida will do something to keep the spring breakers away. Are restaurants and bars closed in Florida? They are in my area of NY. Restaurants only open for takeout orders.
Starting tomorrow, only the drive thru’s here will be open, dining areas will be off limits. You can’t go in just to pick up an order, so only the ones with a drive thru will be receiving customers!!! I bet Mar-a-Lago isn’t closed nor restricted to 5 or even 10 at a time. Hell, just the family alone would exceed acceptable distancing!!!
It seems the thought process was that IF school was out until the end of Spring Break then no one would need to go on Spring Break. Now it’s since all the bars & restaurants are closed, nobody will want to go. So now it’s up to the parents to tell the kids to stay home & we all know how that will turn out!!! I suggest the parents send them all to Mar-a-Lago & let trump send their little butts home!!!
Dr. Shiva probably won’t cancel his Spring Break. ;)
All Kansas schools are cancelled for the rest of the school year.
Alabama announced yesterday that they will be closing their beaches. Florida is talking about scaling back. South Carolina will restrict when you’re allowed to be on the beach. They plan to block roads under yet unannounced reasons. Some smart mouthed college kid says it’s his right of passage & he’ll be going no matter what the law says. I guess we’ll know soon what is actually going to happen!!!
