Did European countries stop travel between countries early on regarding COVID19?

Asked by JLeslie (65789points) April 1st, 2020 from iPhone

I think if Trump had truly shut down international travel early January and had been testing we could have really controlled COVID19 in the US. I think there still would have been small outbreaks, but we could have maybe put a lid on them.

I was wondering did any of the European countries stop travel between countries or outside of the EU very early on?

My state publishes every case in each county and whether the person traveled. My city runs through three counties, but the bulk of it is in Sumter County, FL, and it looks like several cases were probably cruises. It’s dramatic how many cases involved travel in the state.
