Have you read about the meat packing plant shutdowns due to the of the virus?
That might explain the reluctance of places like Iowa and Nebraska in refusing to trip the switch. Immigrant (disposable) labor. Better buy those pork chops and chickens now!

I have now. And tho of course I am sad for the workers, I am happy for the animals! In one of the plants closed down the facility kills about 10,100 pigs a day. Maybe just maybe this will be a step in the right direction for those poor babies.
It’s all part of the hippie conspiracy.
First, they close down most industries, and pollution goes down.
As a secondary effect, far less driving, much less smog, air quality actually improves.
Third, meat packing is shutting down, converting us all into vegetarians, like it or not.
Revenge of the hippies.
Our local Kraft plant shut for deep cleaning after a few employees tested positive. Hadnt heard about any meat factories.
@KNOWITALL: I googled it this morning and it’s true.
