What is your idea of a gift (birthday, Christmas, etc) that is so paltry or worthless that it's kind of insulting?

I realize that some people want to give everyone a gift, and have to scrimp. But some, when you get them, are kind of paltry, to the point of being disappointing or mildly insulting.

Someone once gave me a button (the kind you pin on) with a smiley face, wrapped in a nice box. A cookie cutter, a small box of chicklets or PEZ candy, a box of chalk, also come to mind.
