That’s the saved result from me taking the test a couple of years ago. So, not sure what to tell you.
Economic Left/Right: 0.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.72
Answered randomly.
Economic Left/Right: -7.0
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.56
I am a little surprised. The economic indicator is about right, but I was expecting to register as more libertarian.
I’m an Eeeevill mean spirited and hurtful conservative. HA!
Economic Left/Right = +5.0
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian = +1.38
@ARE_you_kidding_me There was a thread here a few years ago with this same test. At the time, I answered with only “Strongly Agree” or “Strongly Disagree” and it put me on the edge of the grid like @hmmmmmm.
As usual, or perhaps a bit further from center than before:
Economic Left/Right: -9.0
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.03
I’ve taken tests like this many times. I usually score deep down on the libertarian scale in the middle. Sometimes a little to the right, sometimes a little to the left—depends on my mood.
Economic -3.63
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian -2.46
Economic Left/Right: -2.0
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.13
Pretty centrist. That’s more infuriating than being an extremist, isn’t it? :P
This test is also a good one: https://8values.github.io/
I scored “Centrist” with balanced/moderate/neutral in nearly all categories, although I leaned “social” in economics, which surprised me. But still ultimately very moderate, as I’ve long been.
@Caravanfan – I’m also not a huge fan of the test. But it has been helpful over the years to approach the topic of a multi-axis model of politics. It (should) allow us to strip “social” and “economic” issues away from the simple left/right and allow us to discuss left/right in terms of economics.
re: bottled water – Here’s the question: “It’s a sad reflection on our society that something as basic as drinking water is now a bottled, branded consumer product.”
This seems like one of the more straightforward questions/statements. When talking to people in real life, I suspect you’ll easily see some differences in thought on this (those who oppose commodifying something as basic as water vs those who see it as a healthy expression of the market).
re: the abstract art question: “Abstract art that doesn’t represent anything shouldn’t be considered art at all.”
This is a very common opinion among conservatives that I have known, including many people in my family. I suspect this question is designed to gauge a general conservative leaning.
Here.
Libertarian. No surprise there.
@Demosthenes Same here.
Overall Centrist.
Economic: Social
Diplomatic: Balanced
Civil: Moderate
Societal: Neutral
Economic Left/Right: -4.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.97
Whatever the fuck that means :D
@ucme It means we’re both cool cats, because our numbers are fairly close haha! :)
@KNOWITALL Fair enough, but we knew that anyway pet ;-}
@ucme True dat! Live and let live!
Notice that this test has Bernie Sanders slightly left (-1.5) and libertarian (-1) of center, which puts him more centrist than some of you complaining the test is labeling you centrists. Also, almost as left and libertarian as the entire US POTUS 2020 candidate graph.
For me out in -9, -7 territory, pretty alienating.
And by the way, yes, damn straight abstract art is art, uncultured soulless conservative fools, and yes it’s disgusting bottled water has become such a product the way it has.
@Zaku Out of curiosity, do you believe that only conservatives would answer the opposite of you when it comes to the abstract art and bottled water?
I have always thought bottled water was really stupid.
@KNOWITALL No, I don’t think that. I was partly joking with my above comment, where my intended implication was that conservatives who thought abstract art was not art (and who would like to exclude public support for it, or for all art) were ignorant and/or not part of a culture I value, which I find foolish and which all strikes me as foolish.
Economic Left/Right: -6.88

From @Demosthenes test:
Economic Axis: Socialist
Diplomatic Axis: Peaceful
Civil Axis: Liberal
Societal Axis: Very Progressive
Closest Match: Libertarian Socialism
@hmmmmmm That makes sense, I guess. I love abstract art (I have a San Francisco Modern Art Museum membership, and it’s my only museum membership). I especially love German abstract impressionism. And I do drink bottled water from time to time if it’s convenient, although I try to avoid it and remember to use my Hydroflask.
@Demosthenes on your test I got no surprises
I got Economic axis Centrist 55/45
Diplomatic axis Peaceful 40/60
Civil Axis Liberal 70/30
Societl Axis Progressive 30/70
With closest match is Social Liberalism which is center-left and is about right.
