I suggest that you use the contact form to ask how to have the account deleted. Your posts will still remain in the threads, however, I suspect.
If I’m not being too nosy, may I inquire why you wish to do so?
You’re in one of the best communities of its kind, IMHO.

go here and ask to have your account deleted. I am sorry you feel this way :(
Now why in the world would you want to delete your fluther account?
Just look at the little guy up there, and how awesome he is, and mabye you’ll change your mind.
If your account is deleted, will this question disappear?

No it won’t disappear….i think
Curious as to what the perceived benefit of deleting an account will provide.
The person need only zero out their:
– avatar image
– Fields of expertise
– Hobbies & interests
– Places I’ve lived
– My Fluther
…and then not come back.
I guess the only stuff left behind that folks might could see would be:
– their questions
– their quips
– public comments received
– public comments left for others
Unless there’s significant personally identifiable info embedded throughout, I’m not sure what there is to get rid of. And, even so, the person probably should’ve thought of that before putting it all out there in the first place.
Oh well. Whatever. Sorry to see you go @jenjen.
[Fluther Moderator:] Sorry to hear you don’t like us! Click the ‘contact’ link up top, and send in a request to have your account removed. Your questions/responses will remain, however.
I’m gonna pretend I didn’t just read that question!
No website can please EVERYONE, and no website should try.
The goal should be to please as many folks as possible.
