Either a literal accident—a chance meeting, say, or an accidental injury—or something like an unplanned occurrence or event?
By change I mean actually take a different direction or form, an altered path or condition. A life change, rather than just a disrupted day or canceled vacation.
I wouldn’t call random deviations from a general plan “accidents,” but if you would, go ahead and include them.
