I like a margarita in the summertime at a certain restaurant.
As a side note, I have a still but haven’t made any alcohol with it. lol
Up until 34 years ago Tuesday, it was whatever was handy, and the desired speed of effect.
Leisurely shnockered? Beer during the day, red wine after 6 o’clock.
Quick hammered? Gin on the rocks.
Still cognizant after dinner? Grand Marnier.
Moscow Mule and White Russian are two of my favorite drinks. I have a thing for Russian-themed booze.
Peach margarita.
I don’t know why, but El Torito stopped making them. Perhaps I and this server I met at an El T, were the only ones that liked them.
Rarely drink alcohol but when I do Newcastle Brown Ale is my choice.
It is bloody delicious & kicks like a pricked in the arse stallion.
Crown and Coke for a leisurely family party.
Ice cold Patron shots at the bar when I want to act up.
Hot summer, an ice cold Modelo gold.
Float trips, jello shots and Modelo cans.
Around the house, I try to keep some to go frozen margarita’s for grab n go and usually a bottle or two of wine, maybe a few Modelo’s.
I really don’t drink much at all but when I do, I want to enjoy it. We had a lawn gathering the other night and I didn’t even finish one margarita, I was too busy chatting.
Red wine or a strawberry margarita.
It kind of depends.
My beer preferences change from time to time. At the moment I’m more of a stout guy, but I have been known to favor IPAs or Belgians.
For liquor, I do not like vodka at all. Brown liquor I was a single malt scotch guy, but lately I’ve liked bourbons better. I’m generally not a rum or other sweet liquor fan although I have had excellent rums. I do like gin martinis, usually with Bombay Sapphire or Hennesy’s (or another botanical gin that the bartender might recommend), with the glass frightened by a splash of dry vermouth, and stirred but not shaken because I do not like the ice shards. Olives, preferably, but I don’t like dirty martinis—too much olive. I don’t like onions in my martini.
I prefer drier wines, but I like more fruity wines. The exception to that is some dessert wines which I like as well as port. Of all of these wine is the one I know the least because I’m too cheap to buy expensive wine as once a bottle is opened it has to be drunk (as opposed to a bottle of scotch which may last me a month or so)
I can’t stand sweet tropical drinks or blended drinks like frozen margaritas. My favorite foo-foo drink is a caipirinha. Last night my wife made a whisky sour that was delicious.
Very good quality Gin Neat maybe a lime twist !
Large iced coffee with just half & half. Every day. Sometimes twice.
I often imbibe a snifter of Ain’t No Ho Gonna Slow MY Roll, with a shot of STFU juice! ;-D
I drink alcohol maybe 5 times a year. Maybe two or three of those will be a holiday party, and for that it would be a 7 & 7 (Seagrams 7 and 7-Up). I know it’s an antiquated drink but it’s what I always drank. The other times may be visits with family or at a restaurant with family, and then, maybe white wine. Once in a very rare while, if there’s a summer party where I live, and someone offers me something, I’m not above taking it, maybe vodka and something or a frozen drink.
It has been three decades, except one birthday I visited the neighborhood casino about nine years ago.
My go to is tequila sunrise, easy on the grenadine, extra cherries.
@jca I used to love 7&7’s back in the day. I may try that again, I’d forgotten.
Green tea. I never touch rotten grape juice or any other form of booze.
Knob Creek. (Whiskey,) straight.
I typically can’t afford it, so I go with White Label Evan Williams.
In the hotter months, I prefer Sailor Jerry’s, spiced rum…
@MrGrimm Mmm, rum. My friends tease me for liking rum lol
Gallo Family Vineyards Moscato. It’s deliciously sweet, and cheap. (like me) :-).
Or Mogan David Concorde Grape. (see above)
I really don’t drink, maybe a handful of times a year. Crown royal & ginger ale. I love margaritas. Once in a while I could go for a glass of wine, savignon blanc or sometimes a riesling.
Coffee
Ice Tea.
Coors.
Jack and Coke.
Pepsi.
Double shots of Jack.
