Is 760g (distributed as 260g on the steering wheel and 500g under the seat) for a lighting system for a bicycle too heavy or not?

“Too heavy” is subjective, but it is definitely on the heavy side. Go compare against popular lights like the NiteRider Lumina that comes in at 252 grams total.
