I loathe that cliche!
What say you?
If not that, then what else?

No.
Life is like a shit sandwich and every day is just another bite.
It’s like trying to eat a box of chocolates while on a rollercoaster.
I’ll take the roller coaster any day against mired in the swamp. Rather the ups and downs than the monotony of mosquito bait.
In my experience, it is more like a long, long road with a few dips here and there, and a few peaks along the way.
Life is a crappy, crowded amusement park your estranged father dragged you to against your will.
Most of the rides are crap, the few good ones are full and cost extra, and the only way you can get through the day is the mediocre food and the booze that is sold on every corner.
You sit there getting shitfaced, wondering how all the others have not killed themselves yet.
Speaking of shit sandwiches, some say that the more bread you have the less shit you have to taste.
Rather life is a journey of the unknown.
Valleys and peaks, rough roads and smooth, wet and too dry,etc
Either way one is better to get through it to get to the end intact and the more wiser for doing it.
Life is like a fart. It stinks, but the worst is when you realize it doesn’t even bother you anymore.
I thought it was a highway. At least that’s what that crappy 90’s song told me.
Jesus, maybe I should set up some sort of suicide watch here :D
Okay, so I don’t see life as a rollercoaster, or a journey…(insert next tedious cliche)
No, I rather think of it as a drawing without an eraser.
You create as you go, make progress, embrace any flaws, no regrets & ultimately, make your mark.
You will wind up either framed & admired or torn up & thrown out…such is life!
I always say life is like an odyssey. At least my life has been, so far. When I look back on things that have happened, good and bad, it’s definitely been an odyssey. Trips, traumas, illnesses, friendships, memories, places, experiences.
As regards life, there is clearly no real alternative.
Given that, I wonder why you wouldn’t choose to describe it as something more like a roller coaster, and less like a shit sandwich. An interesting study of attitude.
